Neuroscientists Successfully Control the Dreams of Rats. Could Humans be Next?

Researchers working at MIT have successfully manipulated the content of a rat’s dream by replaying an audio cue that was associated with the previous day’s events, namely running through a maze (what else).
The breakthrough furthers our understanding of how memory gets consolidated during sleep – but it also holds potential for the prospect of “dream engineering.”
Working at MIT’s Picower Institute for Learning and Memory, neuroscientist Matt Wilson was able to accomplish this feat by exploiting the way the brain’s hippocampus encodes self-experienced events into memory.
Scientists know that our hippocampus is busy at work replaying a number of the day’s events while we sleep – a process that’s crucial for memory consolidation. But what they did not know was whether or not these “replays” could be influenced by environmental cues.
To see if this could be done, Wilson and his team trained a group of rats to run through a maze using two distinct audio cues. The rats quickly learned that the tones were helpful; one sound indicated that food could be found by going left, while the other sound indicated that a food reward awaited them on the right. And while the rats were doing this, the neuroscientists were recording their neural activity.
Later, while the rats were sleeping, the researchers once again recorded the neural activity of their brains. Using correlative analysis, Wilson confirmed that the rats were dreaming of their maze navigating exploits from the day before.
But when the researchers played the audio cues from the experiment, they noticed a very interesting thing: the rats would dream about the section of the maze previously associated with the audio cue. The experiment demonstrated that the content of a rat’s dream can be biased by re-activating certain memories while they’re asleep.
Looking ahead, the researchers believe that this simple example of dream engineering could open up the possibility of more extensive control of memory processing during sleep – and even the notion that selected memories could be either enhanced, blocked, or modified. Wilson is also aiming to develop new approaches to learning and behavioral therapy through similar kinds of cognitive manipulation.

They, in turn requested assistance from the Andromedans. Do you know why the Galactic Confederation bowed out?

Through my many years of research into what is happening on this planet and working on my own spiritual awakening I have noticed a few things. One of them being that who ever is running the show on this planet is always several steps ahead of us.
Here is some advice for how to handle what you read on this, or any, blog. Read the information with a clear mind, pay attention to your feelings and your body as you are reading. step away from the computer when you are done and go to your favorite place and do a quick meditation. Perform a body scan while what you had read is still fresh. TRUST in yourself with what you determine. Give yourself the love to learn and understand that your opinions and feelings will shift with your perception of the world and thus what you thought was true may not be true the next day/week/month.
The best thing that each being here can do is live their life the way they feel it is supposed to be regardless of what anyone thinks.

Duty is imposed by some outside authority. ..some outside authority that would have us divided and fighting amongst ourselves with no way to tell who the real enemies are. I am my own authority and am responsible for my own thoughts and actions.
I have survived with the help of friends and family who have also survived. I won’t be holding my breath until you get here. You can take your operative warning and shove it. We have been fighting all along while you intellectually discuss your woosy “non-interference” policy and your half-baked notion of free will.
This is what I have learned. Conceptual beings require freedom from the threat of force, the initiation of force and fraud. Force is morally and lawfully justified in retaliation to those three things.
Non-interference condones and is an accomplice to immorality.
Perhaps you don’t understand from your collective conscious perspective but individuals do not have a say over the thoughts and deeds of others. People in authority do not have the right to sell someone else into slavery. No one has a say over anyone else’s free will. It is free. Free of authority. Free of a collective. A free-will conceptual being is not responsible for the actions they take to survive under the threat of force, force or fraud. “Fraud” do you know what the means? It means someone doesn’t know. There is no moral judgment against ignorance.
I suspect you all may be a fraud. You are offering us outside help when the solution lies within each of us. You distract us from taking responsibility and tempt us to wait for someone to rescue us. To hell with your rescue. Come and fight if you want but do it for your own sake because let me tell you brother…You are next.
Now let me give you a word of encouragement. I am here. I have made it my mission to clean up this mess. If I have an immortal soul then I have made it my mission to spend as long as it takes to be where ever needed at all levels of density/dimension and all alternate timelines and parallel universes.
So you take care of yourself, I’ve got it handled.

I do not understand your statement “To hell with your rescue”.
Are you saying that in your opinion, Humans are not worth rescuing? Well, that is a unique point of view.
Why would you make it your mission to clean up this mess, if you feel thusly about humans?
Do you feel this way about your friends and family, that you stated have helped you to survive?

You are welcome I guess. I was mainly directing my comments to the Andromedians. I lack the technology to reply directly so I posted here thinking it might get back to them.
My opinion of humanity ranges from good to bad to indifferent but it wasn’t part of my statement about the rescue. The video didn’t say they were coming to rescue us so my use of the word was kind of off target and/or sarcastic. They are going to invade in order to stop the Draconians from getting to a vital nerve center of the universe. I guess now that they feel threatened they feel they need to do something about the situation here. Meanwhile, we have been struggling along as best we can while they enjoy their safe cushy lifestyles. If anything we are the soldiers on the front line in constant battle with no relief or sign of reinforcements for God knows how many thousands of years. We were once members of the Galactic Commonwealth. So, what happened? Why haven’t they done anything sooner? To me that suggests they have a low opinion of humans. It also suggests they still do not know how to deal with the Draconians.
The video mentions a huge war in the past between Draconians and the Galactic Commonwealth. I wonder if this will be the start of a much greater war throughout the Galaxy. I would think they would want to save as many of us as possible to get as much intel as possible about our common enemy. We may be getting plucked from this battle front and thrown in the middle of an even bigger battle.
I also take issue with their tone that they will be dealing with the real threat. This all seems plenty real to me in this dimension.
To me none of this really matters. For me, the point I was trying to make is that we all need to stop looking outward for someone else to solve our problems. We need to stand where we are and do our best to fix things. We need to follow our conscience. What was the point of the video? To tell us they are coming? Well to that I say, “It’s about time and big deal because we have been here the whole time keeping the enemy busy here for as long as possible to give the homeboys a chance to regroup and come back in force.” I’m just making this stuff up because I have no idea what is going on. I am just responding as if what was in the video were true.

FWH – To your knowledge do you know anything about abductee information regarding a brand or symbol of a triangular formation of 3 dots? I had this imprinted somehow onto my right arm at the elbow.

Is there any significance of this? Or a meaning tied to it?
The triangular dots is very common in abductees — marks left after genetic samples are taken.
